Substiwood Precast Deck Post Foundation
These SUBSTIWOOD® precast deck post foundations make the job of building your deck much easier. These units are pre-made with lightweight SUBSTIWOOD (half the weight of normal concrete). No more mixing and transporting concrete on the job site. The top surface includes a built-in threaded insert to receive (attach) your post hardware. Special inserts on the sides make picking them up easier. Just pick up and place these units in the hole, level the top, and backfill. You choose the length of these units based on your frost depth and soil conditions. Standard units come in 4-ft lengths and weigh only 120 lbs.
